Billingsgate Festive Breakfast

As a festive first Billingsgate Cookery School will be laying on an exclusive breakfast experience for 6 weeks leading up to Christmas. From £35 guests can experience one of Britain’s oldest and most renowned markets. Guests will receive a luxury champagne breakfast, with fresh haddock benedict or a smoked salmon kedgeree on the menu, and gather some essential fish based festive recipes from food writer and director of Billingsgate Cookery School, CJ Jackson.

With winter evenings often cram packed with Christmas commitments why not do something a little different and plan a morning activity? Whether as a team bonding exercise or a perfect excuse to catch up with someone special before the festive break, these lovely breakfast courses, just a stone’s throw from the heart of the City, are a fun and affordable way to do something a little special.

As part of the breakfast guests will receive an informal introduction to fish from CJ Jackson, who with years of experience behind her, will go through a number of delicious and different recipes for every occasion this Christmas; from whole roasted salmon with buttered sourdough, feta and a delicious festive cranberry crust to an exotic seafood Laksa and a selection of mouth-watering canapés.

For an even more unique experience, and for only an additional £10, guests can have a special guided tour of the market before breakfast. An expert will take you around and talk you through the different types of fish on offer and introduce you to the merchants that supply them, you will be able to purchase fish or simply suck up the atmosphere at one of London’s traditional institutions.
