Underground Film Club releases Festive line up

As it turns sub-zero outside, find some sub-surface shelter at the Bulmers Underground Film Club’s winter residence in the Vaults of Waterloo Station. Better yet, there’s an all-star festive film line-up to get you in the spirit of the season in the run up to the Santa’s busiest night.

Secreted under the railway arches, The Vaults is the historical underworld turned contemporary arts space offering an atmospheric labyrinth of Victorian chambers in which to take refuge from the wintery weather and enjoy a truly alternative Christmas movie experience.

Get cosy in our comfy theatre style seats and take in an old favourite on the big screen in this unique and intimate space. Hark back to the Christmases of your childhood with showings of Home Alone and The Muppet Christmas Carol or embrace the seasonal saccharine with guilty pleasure, Love Actually. Alternatively, make merry with everyone’s favourite affable Christmas Buddy in Elf, or indulge in all-time classic It's a Wonderful Life.

And should the frivolities become a little too much, find some respite in the darkened cocoon of London’s hidden abyss with the thoroughly un-festive Dawn of the Planet of the Apes or Gone Girl.

Once through the neon-lit approach tunnel, revellers arrive to the classic smell of delicious freshly cooked hot dogs and nachos provided by Big Flavour and with toppings including home cooked chilli you won’t go in hungry that’s for sure. Meanwhile cider super hero’s Bulmers host the fully stocked bar, offering every flavour from their ever growing range. Beautifully crafted and very festive spicy mojitos are also on offer as is the obligatory hot and sweet popcorn!

Screening five nights a week for the duration of December, after which the Underground Film Club packs up for 2014, this is your final chance to catch a flick amid the shadowy caverns of one of the capital’s busiest stations
