Free Christmas Event in Woolwich

Comedian, actor, music artist and this year, Panto star Richard Blackwood is coming to Berkeley’s Royal Arsenal Riverside to turn on the Christmas lights and kick off the development’s very own festive event on Sunday 30th November. From 6pm to 8pm, Artillery Square, opposite the Greenwich Heritage Centre, will play host to a community event which will bring together local and national talents for a free evening Christmas concert.

In the star-studded line up will be X-Factor contestant Naomi Headman; Irish folk singer, Chloe Jac; Canadian-born classical singer Angela Molineux and the local Woolwich choir singing Christmas chart-toppers. TMA Award winning actress Nicole Faraday will also be there to promote this year’s Broadway Theatre pantomime production, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, in which she stars as the ‘Wicked Queen’ alongside Richard Blackwood as ‘Muddles’.

Christmas magic will be brought to life with Santa on a sleigh with real reindeers and from 4pm, No. 1 Street will be adorned with stalls selling all the festive favourites: mulled wine, minced pies, roasted chestnuts and more. Royal Arsenal Riverside’s very own brewery, Hop Stuff will also be showcasing its finest ales alongside Cornerstone Café’s cake stall.
