St John Ambulance Christmas Carol concert

Join St John Ambulance for an evening of mince pies and Christmas carols at the priory church of St John in the heart of the Clerkenwell community.

The evening will consist of some festive readings, Carols, mince pies and wine in order to celebrate the work of St John Ambulance in 2014 and to thank supporters of the charity.

The evening will start at 6.30pm (doors open at 6.15pm) with a solo performance by mezzo soprano opera singer Alison Valencia. A professional choir will sing a variety of traditional and modern carols, accompanied by an organist, and there’ll be readings from a host of St John Ambulance special guests and you will be encouraged to sing along to some of the better known carols.

The interior of the church – originally built in the 16th century and rebuilt after WW2 – will be adorned with Christmas decorations, the magnificent Order of St John banners and fine artwork which lend it an air of grandeur throughout the year.

Besides being a community fundraising event, the concert will also be a gesture of thanks to some of the charity’s major supporters who will be guests of honour.
