1000 Mistletoe Kisses To Light Up Borough Market's Christmas Display

Come down to Borough Market on 16th December and be part of a world record attempt!

To mark its 1,000th Christmas in Southwark, Borough Market is attempting 1,000 simultaneous kisses under a breathtaking mistletoe ceiling in the New Market Hall at 12.30pm.

For the first time ever, the public are invited to light up the Christmas display. Expert physicists at Royal Holloway, University of London will be using the power generated by the kisses to turn on the Christmas lights.

The event is free to attend and Market traders will be creating special Christmas kiss themed produce on the day and Royal Holloway, University of London's choir will be treating participants to Christmas carols.
