Tashkezar @ The Magic Garden

Come to our next evening of music and belly dancing at The Magic Garden, a hidden gem in the heart of Battersea, south London. We are the only act of the evening which means we will play our entire World Fusion repertoire with the unique Tashkezar touch.

Tashkezar are about shifting musical boundaries - from Eastern Europe to Latin America, from the Bosporus to the Euphrates.

Tashkezar are also about shifting instruments and personnel - from three part vocal harmonies, to Balkan brass lines and Celtic-inspired fiddle playing. They are about shifting perspectives and atmospheres - from wild floor shaking bass lines to delicately beautiful melodies. Tashkezar are formed of a core of versatile musicians - Mariam on vocals, Badger on violin, Pavel on the bouzouki, Max on cajon and darbuka, Raffy on bass, Sam on backing vocals and percussion.
