Expect a lively, fun night out at the friendly monthly jive night with retro diva and vinyl queen Dj Jeniffer Jackson spinning some of the very best in pulsating, energy driven forties and fifties rhythm n blues, jump jive, boogie woogie, doo wop, blues shouters and more, the roots of rock and roll.

Join us as we celebrate the wonderful, dynamic sounds of the greats that influenced what would later become known as rock n roll; Little Richard, Louis Jordan, Lavern Baker, Big Joe Turner, Wynonnie Harris, The Chords, Ruth Brown and many others. Powerful, sizzlin’ music that rocked the juke boxes, gin houses, juke joints, and rent parties all over America.

Piano sensation Jimmy Hammond makes a welcome and indeed long overdue return to Jump Jive and Shout. Those who have already seen Jimmy Hammond perform at Jump Jive and Shout or with his other bands will know that this is one performer who has captured that raw energy, the spirit, the whole look and sound of the greats from the greatest era of the blues and the rock and roll era. Jimmy Hammond knows how to entertain. He sings plays the harp and chops, pounds, and slices up those 88 keys. Let the boogie woogie roll. What better way to spend your Saturday night.
