The City's ebb and flow - a riverside walk

Find out about how the Thames has been the lifeblood of the City of London. Vital for work, rest and play. Hear about buildings ancient and modern. See where the Romans arrived, a Saxon harbour, a fantastic modern mosaic and a funicular railway. Hear about an early European Common Market, rioting workers, cowboy builders, bridges old and new.

A walk from St Paul's to the Tower of London led by a fully qualified City of London guide. It will last about 1.5 - 2 hours.

The walk will happen whatever the weather, so do bring warm/waterproof clothing and comfortable shoes. Meet your guide by the board outside the City Information Centre. Look out for the City Guide badge she will be wearing.
