This weekend is an introduction to the Tibetan Buddhist understanding of death and dying offering a glimpse of the practical wisdom and sacred inspiration of this tradition. Inspired by The Tibetan Book of Living and Dying by Sogyal Rinpoche, Rosamund Oliver will share essential teachings which are most relevant for today’s world. The universal message of these teachings speaks to people from all walks of life. They show us how we can face uncertainty and change, transform difficulty and fear, prepare for death and support others to die with dignity.
The weekend also gives essential guidance on meditation and the practice of Essential Phowa, a practice for healing and for the moment of death. It addresses how we can prepare ourselves and how to accompany someone nearing death, so that they can die with a peace of mind and even with confidence.
