86,000 people enjoyed the best music and dance direct from Cuba on London's South Bank in June of last year, making Carnival de Cuba the biggest Cuban Carnival outside of the Americas - and one of Europe's biggest Latin events

For 2007, Carnival de Cuba is now booked for June 16th/17th at Southwark Park. The new venue offers much more space, far better facilities and is only three stops on the Jubilee line from Waterloo - entry once again will be is free thanks to sponsorship from Virgin Atlantic, Cubana bar-restaurant, Ron Caney and others

The Carnival de Cuba line up from Cuba is more massive than ever — back, by popular demand, is chart topping Sur Caribe after their awesome 2006 tour - again joined by the iconic Pedrito Calvo, formerly of Los Van Van. Sur Caribe are also booked to play at Glastonbury and will tour to France

Also on the bill are the great Santiago Conga band, Septeto Tipico Tivoli on their inaugural tour which will include Edinburgh after Carnival; 'reggaeton' sensation, Gente de Zona - Havana's greatest in demand; and UK-based Cuban reggaeton stars Papa Record, Kid Afrika and Leximan

There will be a massive Conga procession led by the Cuban dance legend Guillermo Davis, free children's carnival face-painting, dance workshops, longer hours and better facilities than before with lots more cantinas and juicy Mojito bars
