Chandranandra – 4 hour DJ set

Chandrananda is a music lover with an ear for those special tracks. Her style is fluid and eclectic. Her sets are fresh and spontaneous. Her debut as a DJ in 2007 in the chillout room organised by one of her friends saw her very quickly becoming a favourite DJ in the London underground psy-scene. But she was not new to the music scene having managed an alternative record shop in the south of Italy for some time before moving to the European music capital.

Chandrananda is a DJ at heart! From her first gig her style has greatly evolved. Depending on the vibe, and on her mood, she smoothly journeys through different styles. She can make you dance to psy-dub tunes, deep dub with glitchy notes, psy-dubstep and IDM. Other times she takes you on a dreamy journey into more ambient moods fusing electronic tunes with world-influenced grooves and melodic sounds that touch your soul. She does not like to prepare her sets and prefers to go with the flow, loving the buzz of not knowing what track she'll play next. But, above all, like a child, she wants to play with her new toys!

Her enthusiasm for playing music has constantly grown and she quickly became a favourite DJ in the alternative stages at some of the most popular UK festivals like Sunrise, Waveform, Cosmo, Alchemy Festival and other smaller ones across England. She has also ventured outside the UK to festivals like OZORA, Sonica,Vibe, Global Chillout - Ekologicum. Chandrananda is a label DJ for Dubmission Record.
