Guess who's back, back again, Racket's back, tell a friend.

Gracing the stage will be our selection of Indie / Acoustic / Alternative acts from all over the country. Think of it as a heads up as to who to keep an eye on throughout 2015.

Sunshine Frisbee Laserbeam:

Pete Dixon, Andy Bullock Ralph Morton and David Pendril Bentall make up the aptly named Sunshine Frisbee Laserbeam, whose stripped-down, set up enables them to bash out driving, gloriously widescreen alt. pop anthems at an alarming rate. With tracks evoking the best eras of Sebadoh and ‘Trail of Dead sivved through a modern, post-dreampop colander, SFL make you realise just how bad a job all of these NME-championed early 90s revivalists are doing at what they’re supposedly doing....This is Tomorrow.

Hepzibah:

Formed of Joel Whitewood, Josh Best-Shaw and Mat Roberts, Hepzibah began in May 2013, after its founders (Joel and Josh) decided to try writing a couple of songs together. The band's music, which is influenced by their classically trained upbringing, does not fall into one genre, but draws on varying styles, from acoustic folk to rock. Hepzibah released their debut, self-titled EP in April, which is available on iTunes.

Mystery Solution:

A three piece psychedelic soul band from West London, members include: Guitarist/vocals William Schnadhorst, Drums Benedict McDowell, Bass Brendan Lingwood. Having met at The London College of Music and all coming from different musical backgrounds, they quickly developed and definied a unique sound. With influences of Blues, Jazz, Indie and many more, they create a dynamic genre.

Midé:

Midé is a London-based singer/songwriter with a uniquely soulful voice who has a real passion for live music. He has an amazing way of connecting with a listener. There is always a welcome ease about the way he delivers any note, from originals to a cover. Midé has been wowing audiences with his influences from Blues to Soul to Rock and even a bit of Folk. If you’re a fan of John Mayer, Ed Sheeran, Michael Kiwanuka or even Bob Dylan, you will absolutely enjoy watching and listening to this troubadour.

Ashton:

Racket's very own Henry Ashton will be opening the show on the 6th Feb. Like so few modern artists, his story appears to write itself. Growing in Glastonbury, his sound was carved out before he even realised. With festival lights for inspiration Ashton slowly began to expand his repertoire from simple guitar jams to complex melancholic compositions. Layering cutting, relatable lyrics over emotive melodies, his music has proved enough to melt even the coldest of hearts. Citing influences from Arctic Monkeys to Bon Iver, from Daughter to Jamie T, his live performance will keep you on your toes. With his first EP, "Falling out of Trees" having been released, Ashton's journey is set to continue.
