It’s time to teach your children how to code! Get involved in this exciting project brought to you by myKidsy, offering your child (aged 5-12) a unique opportunity to develop essential skills for life in the 21st century at a young age.

We have created a 6 week programme, held either on Friday evenings (5.30pm until 7pm) at TechHub or Saturday mornings (10am until 11.30am) at Westminster Hub.

There will be two levels: Beginner and Intermediate.

The beginner class will follow the Scratch program, to learn the basics of coding in a friendly and rewarding way, creating their own projects, building games and programs using ‘building blocks’.
The intermediate class will learn the technology of the web through an introduction to CSS, HTML and Javascript, in a fun and engaging environment where they can reproduce their own creations – games, programs and websites.

The classes will be supported by our instructors, who will offer guidance, and will follow a detailed curriculum we have developed and adapted to the needs of the age groups.

The curriculum has been developed by experienced computing teachers and external advisors, and will be taught by talented Computer Science students/graduates.
As the children progress with the coding skills, we will develop a more in-depth curriculum to be run through the academic year, further aimed at understanding the technologies of the web, covering advanced Front End and Back End programming.

Please note: a parent or guardian must be present at the classes. The children will need to bring a laptop.
Early registration is advisable, as places may be filled up quickly. There are 16 places per session.
