Musica Noche present a Night with Moonboots (Aficionado)

After a fantastic 2014 for Musica Noche which saw the likes of The Idjut Boys, Felix Dickenson, Daniele Baldelli, Nancy Noise, Phil Mison, Ruf Dug, Tim Paris, Craig Bratley, Richard Sen, Ray Mang, Severino, Coyote and many more grace the decks.

2015 awaits and for the opening Feb soiree we are absolutely delighted and honored to welcome Manchester's finest Moonboots who will be playing a special extended set. Moonboots has been at the helm of Manchester institution, Aficionado, for 15 years and counting. A Sunday night session devoted to the musical miracles which many overlook, he has consistently championed an endless list of lost classics and new delights. It's the very definition of Balearic, without genre or agenda

If he was ever to appear on Mastermind, there's a good chance that Moonboots might include German Orthopaedic Footwear, Metro Maps Of The World, Meat, or Moleskin Notepads as his chosen specialised subjects because they all float his boat but, as we all know, he's mostly about the music.

And that can be anything at all. Before the long-running Aficionado night started, Moon sold records at the Eastern Bloc shop in Manchester and prior to that he was working the lights at Most Excellent and Glitterbaby.

The Aficionado night that he runs alongside Jason Boardman has also spawned it's own record label, now in it's third year and responsible for some of the finest jazz-donk releases known to mankind. We're chuffed to have him coming to play.
