Oysters & Absinthe This Valentine’s Day

Journey into the green hour and free your mind at an interactive absinthe and oyster evening at The Spread Eagle in Camden this Valentine’s Day.

Kicking off at 7pm on Saturday 14th February with a Green Beast cocktail on arrival (Pernod Absinthe, lime juice, sugar syrup, still water and cucumber slices), guests will fall in love with The Green Fairy as they learn about the history of this potent spirit, which rose in popularity with bohemian Parisians in the 19th century.

The Absinthe guru will treat participants to expert displays of fire and tricks with sugar cubes whilst demonstrating the ideal way to pour drinks from a ritual absinthe drip serve, delivering the iconic Parisian Absinthe taste.

Whilst you enjoy your La Fée Verte an oyster expert will introduce you to a delectable feast of salty to mild fresh oysters teaching you the best ways to enjoy this classic aphrodisiac whether you like them loaded with toppings or simply served naked. Delicious bowls of steaming mussels and fries will accompany.

The evening will be rounded off with strong dark chilli, luxurious white and buttery milk chocolates together with a Bloody Fairy cocktail to finish (Pernod Absinthe, French Fairy mix, tomato juice, Lillet Blanc, lemon juice, ripe vine tomato and a sprig of lemon thyme).
