This Comedian

THIS COMEDIAN IS A STAND UP COMEDY NIGHT ABOUT BEING A STAND-UP COMEDIAN.

A brand new concept, a brand new stand-up night. We handpick the best talent from TV, radio and live comedy to tell us what it’s like to actually be a comedian. They tell us what it’s really like to have to stand on stage and bare their soul to all you judgemental comedy fans. Stories and anecdotes from the backwaters of comedy turned into brilliant stand-up. It’s going to be quite bitchy, I imagine.

All the photos are photographed by Idil Sukan. She's one of the comedy world's most prolific and well-known photographers, having photographed hundreds of shows and comedians all over the UK.

This Comedian Live is part of the multi- faceted documentary project including Idil’s debut exhibition, This Comedian, showing at the Embassy Tea Gallery, Southwark, 19 February - 2 March. Free entry.

Prints of Idil's work will be available at the show as part of a goodie bag.
