Oyster shucking festival

Throughout February, Prawn on the Lawn will play host to an oyster festival with a special oyster menu, oyster-eating competitions and daily oyster specials as well as presentation of a new, limited edition Islington brewed oyster stout and ‘oyster-shucking’ tuition for those lacking in kitchen charisma.

The Saturday afternoon classes will run between 16:00pm – 18:00pm educating people on the tricky task of preparing oysters, the aphrodisiac inducing ‘food of love’, giving them the confidence of a steady hand, a firm grip and teaching them the skill of how to open the shell leaving the inner fleshy mantle undamaged – then they can enjoy a glass of Prosecco, all for £15.
