Written by Jonathan Larson
Directed by John Baxter
Presented by LAMDA (London Academy of Music and Drama)

It’s the late ‘80s in New York City’s East Village and times are tough for a group of friends and lovers – all artists struggling to keep warm and to pay their rent. The bohemians of their day, the artist’s fragile life is made more vulnerable still by the rapid spread of HIV/AIDS. But, despite their difficult existence, the group remain defiant in their love of art and life.

Adventurous and ground-breaking in both subject matter and style, Jonathan Larson’s Tony award-winning musical tells the story of Puccini’s La Bohème, reimagined for a different age, taking its audience on an exhilarating journey of love and loss.
