Lively Minds Lively Minds works in the poorest and remotest rural villages in Ghana and Uganda where children have no basic early years opportunities. We believe the key to development is to enliven minds and empower communities to change their own lives for the better. We do not provide aid. Rather we help communities help themselves by giving them the knowledge, skills and drive to run their own early childhood education programmes.

These programmes reach children at a crucial stage in their development, enhancing education, health and wellbeing. They also transform the lives of the community-members who run them, often women with no education, trapped in a cycle of poverty. Without education these children, like their parents before them, will not have the chance to break out of poverty.

Our projects are replicated in new villages - £30 covers a whole year’s education for one child. We have given over 23,000 children in 98 communities a chance for a brighter future
