This month, Oval Space Cinema is showing one of last year's most underrated films, Blue Ruin. Oval Space brings you monthly screening events from independent filmmakers.

Jeremy Saulnier's thrills us with a clever scenario, an excellent selection of actors and a subtle dose of black humour.

Synopsis: A mysterious outsider's quiet life is turned upside down when he returns to his childhood home to carry out an act of vengeance. Proving himself an amateur assassin, he winds up in a brutal fight to protect his estranged family.

"Blue Ruin is crisply photographed and powerfully acted, and packs a fistful of nasty surprises." Time Out.

Food and drinks will be available on the night. More details to be announced soon on the Oval Space website.
