Dona Oxford

The daughter of an Episcopal priest, Dona is renowned for her powerful vocals and awesome boogie-woogie piano technique. She has been described as the new 'Goddess of Soul' by famed Wrecking Crew guitarist Don Peake, and dubbed 'the next big thing in music' by actor Ewan McGregor. She has played with such legendary performers as Van Morrison, Keith Richards, Levon Helm, Albert Lee, Buddy Guy, and her idol, former Chuck Berry sideman and Father of Rock and Roll piano himself, Johnnie Johnson.

A One-Octave Toy Piano

Inspired to play the piano after being given a one-octave toy piano as a gift, Dona began taking lessons at age six. By seven, she was performing publicly and she started formal classical training, which she continued until she was sixteen.

Dona rapidly developed into an accomplished keyboardist and vocalist, just two of her many talents.

Since signing with Lisa Climie Management in 2014, Dona has performed with her full 6-piece band in select clubs and venues around the UK and she cannot wait to be back this year.
