Whether you want to learn how to fillet a fish, glam up your greens or carve a leg of lamb, 2015 sees the launch of a host of events designed to teach cook’s skills to visitors to The Duke of Cambridge. Each class will be led by one of our suppliers, from farmers to fishermen.

Starting on the 19th of February, our first class will lead you through varieties of root vegetables and will cover tips and tricks to make the most of everything from the humble potato to the majestic beetroot. The class will feature the best of what’s in season, predominately grown on our farm in Devon.

During the class, you will learn a number of techniques to bring out the best of typically ‘challenging’ veg. We’ll move way beyond mashing and roasting to focus on teaching new skills for the home cook to really bring out the culinary potential inside every root. The class will be very hands-on, but we’ll have plenty of time for questions, and more importantly, a seasonal and organic lunch to finish.

You will take home a selection of root vegetable dishes to take home, lunch, and your own root vegetable cotton tote bag.
