"The Supreme Price is one of ten films all human rights activists should see.”
Huffington Post

A startlingly intimate rendering of the epic and tragic inter-generational Abiola family saga,

In 1994 Nigeria’s President M.K.O Abiola was imprisoned and his wife, Kudirat, took over the leadership of the pro-democracy movement. She was assasinated in 1996 for her part in the Nigerian struggle against human rights violations perpetrated by the military dictatorship.

THE SUPREME PRICE tells this story through the eyes of their daughter, Hafsat Abiola, who is herself at the forefront of a progressive movement to empower women and dismantle the patriarchal structure of Nigerian society.

The screening will be followed by a Q&A session with Director Joanna Lipper.
