Four giants of the Rock ‘n’ Roll world come together for the first time in BE BOP A LULA which opens at The Ambassadors Theatre, West Street, London on Wednesday March 4. This is a brand-new show which will take your breath away from the very first chord to the explosive finale!

Eddie Cochran and Gene Vincent first came to the UK in the legendary 1960 tour. Eddie whose hits included Summertime Blues, C'mon Everybody and Three Steps To Heaven tragically never made it back home after dying in a car crash near Bristol but his musical genius paved the way for future artistes such as The Beatles.

Gene Vincent was an instant hit as a true rock n roll rebel. Sculpted in the UK by legendary producer Jack Good, his black leather, almost Shakespearean moody image, almost scared fans into submission. One of the coolest ever rockers, his classic recordings include Be Bop A Lula, Blue Jean Bop and Say Mama and will rock every audience member out of their seat.

Also on that fateful tour was British rocker Billy Fury whose first album, ‘The Sound Of Fury’, is considered a classic. A skilled and respected songwriter and charismatic performer Billy became one of the era's most successful British artistes with chart-toppers such as Halfway to Paradise, Wondrous Place and A Thousand Stars.

Roy Orbison was one of the most successful solo recording artistes of the 1960s - second in popularity only to Elvis. His list of hits includes Oh, Pretty Woman, Running Scared, Only The Lonely and In Dreams - all iconic records that influenced an entire generation.

In Be Bop A Lula, critically acclaimed performers Gavin Stanley (Brookside, Coronation Street, Good Rockin' Tonite!, Ferry 'Cross The Mersey,Rock n Roll Paradise) and Lars Young (Jesus Christ Superstar, A Night of Orbison, Rock n Roll Paradise) take on the roles of these four rock n roll icons with extraordinary authenticity. Backed by some of the best rock n roll musicians in the country and with a 'special' guest promised at every performance, Be Bop A Lula is heralded as the most exciting music show to open in London this spring.

On March 4 there is only one place for any true fan of rock n roll to be and that is at The Ambassadors Theatre, West Street, London - the show starts at 7.30 p.m. and tickets are available at the box office: 08448 112334.
