Seven Dials’ Book Exchange is celebrating World Book Day with readings from three key authors, over three consecutive evenings on the 3rd, 4th and 5th March.

Hannah Rochelle, Liz Hoggard with Sarah-Jane Lovett and Samantha Shannon will be on hand to share with an audience excerpts from their upcoming books and to celebrate the joys of reading leading up to World Book Day.

There are thirty free tickets available for each reading, where guests will also get to enjoy complimentary popcorn and prosecco throughout the evening and have a chance ask the authors any burning questions at the Q&A, after their readings, as well as a book signing.

Kick starting the series of events on Tuesday 3rd March is Hannah Rochell, Fashion Features Editor at InStyle magazine and founder of EnBrogue.com, a blog devoted to stylish flat shoes. Hannah’s blog has gone from strength to strength with a huge reach of readers as well as gaining strong coverage in publications like The Times, The Guardian, Red Online, along with being featured on BBC Radio 4's Saturday Live programme. This success has lead to the progression to the En Brogue book with a compilation of forty styles of shoes with beautiful hand drawn illustrations, quirky photographs and fascinating facts about the history of her favourite flats, including Superga, Birkenstocks and many more brands available from the Seven Dials area.

Wednesday 4th March, Liz Hoggard and Sarah-Jane Lovett bring their life-enhancing, Dangerous Women: The Guide to Modern Life, to The Book Exchange. The book, which draws on the experience of a group of dangerously knowledgeable women, offers practical but humorous advice, with an understanding of the finer art of living.
With over 600 entries, from 'Accepting A Compliment', 'Affairs' to 'Family Therapy' and the ever difficult 'Teenagers', this is the perfect bedside companion for the modern woman. Women of all generations constantly ask themselves, and each other, questions about what it means to be a modern woman, Dangerous Women gives us the answers.

Highlighted as the author to watch Samantha Shannon will be reading from her second novel, The Mime Order on World Book Day, 5th March. Samantha’s debut novel The Bone Season, which was set in Seven Dials, was an international phenomenon hitting bestseller lists across three continents, selling over 250,000 copies. Samantha will be reading from her forthcoming novel The Mime Order, the second book in the series plunges you back into Paige Mahoney’s alternate future London.

To confirm your place please register at www.sevendials.co.uk, with the date you wish to attend. There will also be the opportunity for a few walk-ins on the evening on a first come first served basis. Doors open at 6pm, and the readings will commence at 6.30pm.

Seven Dials’ Book Exchange, 9 Shorts Gardens, WC2H, opened last year and works to engage visitors to bring in any book and pick something new to bury their head in, and take it away for free. So for those of you who aren’t able to make it down for one of the amazing readings please pop in between 10am – 7pm Monday to Friday or 12pm-5pm every Sunday.
