Rosenblatt Recitals - Ben Johnson

As the Rosenblatt Recitals enters the final third of its season, English tenor Ben Johnson takes to the stage in what promises to be a recital full of varied and exciting repertoire.

Winner of the Audience Prize in the 2013 BBC Cardiff Singer of the World, Johnson is undoubtedly one of the upcoming generation’s finest young British singers. Making his second Rosenblatt Recital appearance, Johnson is already held in the highest regard by audiences and critics alike for his song-singing ability, boasting “impeccable phrasing and subtle control and colouring” (The Guardian).

Programme includes songs by Tosti, Parry, Stanford, Elgar, Respighi, Sullivan, Coates, Head, Hughes, Woodforde-Finden and Lehmann.
