Warwick Estate, a family-owned and run winery for generations, was known from 1771 till 1902 as the farm ‘De Goede Sukses’ (of good success) but was renamed by Colonel William Alexander Gordon, CO of the Warwickshire regiment, as a tribute to his regiment who fought in the Anglo Boer war. The rest, as they say, is history. For the past few decades matriarch Norma Ratcliffe has been leading the way producing some of the best and most interesting wines in the Cape.
