Guests: Awate and Indigo Williams, hosted by Richard Purnell and Sam Berkson.
Live poetry and spoken word featuring two special guests, and an open mic slam session!
There are 8 places on the door, first come, first served. Judged by randomly selected members of the audience, the winner goes through to Hackney regional final. This month features a rare spoken word set from top young UK rapper Awate who is a writer and performer from Camden. His work has been hailed by a lot of big names in hip hop. Come and see what the hype is about! Also featuring will be Indigo Williams, a poet and spoken word educator who has performed at Tedx Brixton and is the winner of the 2012 New Generation slam. Her work is emotive and thought provoking.
