This Spring, the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain brings its epic sound and dynamite energy to an imaginative programme of daring composers.

Renowned international conductor Ivan Volkov brings 163 of the UK’s brightest teenage musicians to one of the capital’s most prestigious music venues, The Royal Festival Hall.

Béla Bartók’s hugely popular Concerto for Orchestra is the centrepiece of the concert which fuses traditions to create a cathedral of vivid sounds, shapes, melodies and emotions. Accompanying Bartók’s masterpiece are works by Percy Grainger (‘The Warriors’) and renowned composer Unsuk Chin, whose work ‘Mannequin’ was commissioned by NYO and will receive its London premiere.

Part of Southbank Centre’s Futuretime Festival, a festival brought together by young people for young people.

Don’t miss out on witnessing the world’s greatest orchestra of teenagers! Under 25 – only £5!

“An unrestrained joy in the act of making music”. **** Financial Times
