Katarina Gadjanski and Gypsy Fever will take you on an enchanting musical journey across ex-Yugoslavia, bringing you soulful folk and gypsy music from all over this region (starting in Vojvodina and Serbia via Macedonia and Bosnia to the coastal line of Dalmatia). Although born in people’s sorrow, the celebratory nature of the traditional folk and gypsy music of Yugoslavia defies the difficult and marginal existence of the war-torn country, a country that now exists only in its beautiful traditional music.

In the first set Katarina Gadjanski and Gypsy Fever Quartet will perform acoustically and play for you some exquisite archaic folk tunes that are not often heard in the West (Sevdalinke, Izvorne i Starogradske pesme).
