Face to Face

‘Face to Face’, an intriguing new play by Heather Jeffery, is a co-production between Lonesome Schoolboy Productions and Changing Spaces Theatre. It will be staged at the Drayton Arms Theatre from 28 April until 23 May 2015. Niall Phillips directs.

Rachel, a young female artist recovering from a serious injury, develops a relationship with her sitter. Their shared exploration of deeper themes of artistic endeavour is shattered by the arrival of Shaun, who drives a wedge of distrust between them. Is Rachel’s growing belief in a dangerous conspiracy a product of her overactive imagination or a very real threat?

After ‘Shrine of Innocence’ (VAULT Festival, Waterloo), ‘Nothing: a Tale of Two Zeros’ (Old Red Lion Theatre, Islington), ‘Man with the Heart of a Pig’ (Old Red Lion Theatre, Islington), ‘Me’ (Actor’s Church, Covent Garden) Heather Jeffery has now delivered the exciting new play ‘Face to Face’. In addition to being a writer, Heather is also director, producer and developer of Changing Spaces Theatre, a company that has won acclaim for “boldness of imagery and concept”, delivering work that is “compelling and darkly poetic”.

Lonesome Schoolboy Productions returns to the London fringe circuit after the sell-out success of ‘Love vs Hate’ (Tristan Bates, Covent Garden) and the recent five-star rated, Offie-nominated production ‘Letters from Everyone’ (Drayton Arms Theatre, West London). The independent production company, founded in 2010 by trained actor Niall Phillips, is dedicated to creating the highest standard of theatre and film. And in the brand new play ‘Face to Face’ the company found a new project.
