Hump day is back, and so are London’s favourite flatmates. The Little Yellow Door, renowned for keeping Notting Hill up at night, will at the end of the month launch a new tongue-in-cheek concept, namely, Kitchen Supper & Cocktails created as the perfect way to beat the mid week blues.

At the end of last year, the flatmates rose to fame with their entertaining house parties and sold-out Friday dinners, and from Wednesday 25th March they’re giving their guests yet another reason to knock on that door. TLYD’s Kitchen Supper & Cocktails will be an informal, no-fuss affair, on a first-come, first-served basis, designed for those looking for fun, and something a little different, without breaking the bank. Simply a good old fashioned home cooked meal among friends, only it’s not your home and you may not know the person next to you. (Though you will when you leave).

In terms of food, TLYD’s very own, The Wandering Chef will create a regularly changing menu, the first one being inspired by Luigi, the newest flatmate of the house fresh off the plane from Toscana. Presenting Luigi’s greatest hits, the Wednesday kitchen suppers will be a two-course indulgent affair, where diners can expect dishes such as, Raw Appeal, Smoked Beef, Ricotta and Capers, Say Cheese, Burrata, Aubergine, Rye and Oregano, Ducky Love, Egg Tagliatelle with Spiced Duck Ragu, and Luigi’s special weekly pasta will also be up for grabs. The Italian aperitif and icebreaker, Aperol, will be mixing up some cocktails at the housemates’ bar, serving up the ultimate Spritz, in perfect keeping with Luigi’s menu. The two-course meal and cocktail will be available for a cheeky £20 - it is only Wednesday after all.

When supper is over and the table has been cleared, the focus will turn to the bar, which also will be open throughout the whole evening, and in keeping with the pop-up’s habit of bringing people together, a new selection of quirky sharing cocktails will be introduced for guests to mingle over, such as the Van Wilder for two, an array of alcohols and flavours including tequila, rum, vodka, passion fruit and guava. Made in a home-style blender and built over ice, they will also be serving the ‘Leaving Las Vegas’, created for eight, it’s a mixture of rum, vodka, more rum and more rum, passion fruit and Guava.

Since the quirky pop-up bar, based on a fictional flatshare, opened its Little Yellow Door in October 2014, it has rapidly become a West London institution, and the infamous house parties have seen queues lining up far down Notting Hill Gate. Their popular Friday dinners tends to get booked up weeks in advance, so it is with great excitement the flat mates presents a more casual supper, appropriate for a Wednesday rendezvous, where anyone can pop in and pop-out, in the only London venue where bookings can be made via What’s App. It is true what they say: “Visiting The Little Yellow Door, you may arrive with three friends and leave with ten...”

London Evening Standard: “With top-notch food, killer drinks, silly games and free roam of the flat this is the ultimate house party — and everyone is invited"
