Beware the Easter Bunnies.

Dash around the canals of Canada Water, work with your team to crack clues and track down coded easter eggs, but keep a sharp eye out as our long eared Easter guards close in!

Described as “turning the city into a playground,” Citydash is an exciting and intense hour in the city created by street games veterans, Fire Hazard. Teams work together to crack clues, and discover checkpoints. Some checkpoints open and close during the game, and some are cryptic, so good tactics are essential. More importantly, all the checkpoints are guarded, and if one of our Easter rabbits spots a player, the whole team are banned from part of the game zone.

“This is an adrenaline-charged hour of strategy and stealth, not an afternoon-long puzzle-solving amble”, says Fire Hazard founder Gwyn Morfey. “We take a lot of computer-game and movie experiences and move them into the real world”.

But that’s not to say that only elite athletes need apply. “You have to be quick but you also have to be tactical” says theatre review site Event.co.uk. Cryptic clues, complex areas to hide in and the ever-present guards mean that well-organised teams have a good chance against faster ones. The live scoreboard on players’ smartphones throughout the game means that competition exists all through the ranks, not just at the top.

After the game, we’ll retire to the pub for some well earned hot chocolate and prizes. With cryptic easter clues, running targets bearing sweets, and sinister long eared guards this promises to be a game to remember.
