Chaos Theory presents a special one-off show with Italian avant garde Occult duo Father Murphy touring their latest album ‘Croce’, drone, soundscape and synth pioneer Petrels performing a solo set and new project by ex-Altar Of Plagues members, KRAWWL, performing experimental ambient black metal.

Father Murphy

One of the most mysterious and enigmatic musical entities to come out of Italy in recent years, Father Murphy have received wide acclaim for their last EP ‘Pain is on our side now’.

Now they have announced a new full-length album ‘Croce’, a new collection of dark psychedelic/industrial cabaret that is a concept record about the cross, with one side of the record sonically representing the suffering and sacrifice and the flip side reflecting what comes after; the end of said suffering, resurrection, or perhaps oblivion.

Merging shadowy, muddy and murky atmospheres with unexpected blurts of impossibly catchy noise pop, their sound is both textural and nuanced but also noisy and chaotic.

This show will be a jawdropping and terrifying experience.

“An unapologetic venture into head music… contains some powerful compositions.” – Drowned in Sound

“The oddball psychedelic chamber pop the Italian duo exhale will creep you out with drones, lullabies, and anguished vocals all competing for front-runner spot in your next nightmare. Perfect.” – Terrorizer

“Powerful and eccentric” – Echoes And Dust

Petrels

An eerie electronic, drone artist who has been creating compositions and soundscapes that have been appealing to audiences of post-rock to electronica to the avant garde.

His intense and haunting will be delivered as a solo set today.

“Huge walls of gorgeous ambience” – Beard Rock

“Full of uncertainty, timeless beauty and, above all else, fear.” – Muzik Dizcovery Blog

Krawwl

A London-based project formed from members of Altar of Plagues (Official), that forged its roots in black and industrial metal, before evolving into a noise, ambient and drone project.

Still experimenting with their new sounds, this is a fantastic opportunity to catch them early on in their rebirth.

“Brooding and ominous.” – CVLT Nation

“A pleasure to see something this intelligent being done within a black metal framework.” – Metal Ireland
