The Hidden Prologues literary salon is proud to welcome Andrew O’Hagan, one of the most acclaimed writers of our time, to the Radisson Blu Edwardian Bloomsbury Street hotel.

Andrew will take to the sofa with journalist Sam Leith on the 30th April, discussing the insights and inspiration behind his latest novel, 'The Illuminations'.

Hidden Prologues, now in its second year, is a literary salon with a difference, revealing the stories behind some of Britain’s favourite authors’ latest works in an intimate discussion in a relaxed environment.

Sam Leith said: “I’m really excited to be chairing Andrew O’Hagan for the latest Hidden Prologues. He’s one of the best novelists we have, and in The Illuminations he has turned in a quite virtuosic performance: it deals with how far the mind can endure and the stories it tells when it can’t; with old age and youth; with the fast violence of war and the slow violence of time. It’s going to be fascinating to learn more about what shaped this remarkable book.”

Tickets are free and guests will be able to buy a copy of the book to be signed.
