Music in the Dark

Much more than a performance, Music in the dark is about feeling sound in its purity. The sequences in the dark will wow your senses. Evocative and intimate but also fiery and passionate, JP and Leonardos music sets you off on a refreshing journey.

Jean Pierre says: Its about enabling people to experience the sound in all its beauty without any distractions. We play a mix of evocative and upbeat tunes, some with the light focused on the guitar and others in the dark. We alternate as a solo or a duo, building up to a climax as the performance progresses.

Three tunes are played in complete darkness. All songs are original.

JP (Jean Pierre) is a French musician and artist who lives in Walthamstow London. His music on Spanish guitar explores a diversity of genres such as Latin, Flamenco, African and Arabic. Jean Pierre has developed his own unique style of music; performing in the darkness he expresses his ideas through improvisation.
Leonardo is a Mexican musician who now lives in London. His early experiences as a musician began at the school of arts J.E. Pierson of the Mexican National Institute of Arts (2000-2003) where he also started playing as a soloist for the classical guitar ensemble of the University of Sonora Staccato.

Music in the Dark was sold out in 2014 at Brighton Fringe Festival and in London at Etcetera Theatre during their first tour.
