House of Vans London Presents Classic & London

To mark the 1977 debut of the Old Skool as the first ever Vans shoe to feature the iconic sidestripe, Vans are excited to bring you Classic & London with the official party taking place at House of Vans London

The upgraded durability of the Old Skool made it a necessity for adventurers and went beyond the realms of performance, serving as a canvas for expression. Customisation became very popular in the 1980s with the Old Skool proving to be a most popular style due to the variety of parts that could be changed and updated. Here in lies the inspiration behind Classic & London: a two week takeover of the city bringing together the best in creative talent that London has to offer with a series of Vans in-store workshops, live street murals, exhibitions & live music.

The House of Vans gallery space will also play host to the Classic & London exhibition as curated by VNA Magazine. The show features six of the finest artists in the capital at the moment including Will Barras, Inkie, Candy Lo, Tizer, Stika and Miss Led. Together with Vans each has reworked the iconic Sidestripe insignia and Oldskool across two brand new hand-painted pieces.
