British born brothers Stos and Dimitri Goneos, otherwise known as ‘Bite The Buffalo’, have their roots firmly set in Zambia where both sets of grandparents settled in the early 50’s and 60’s. Growing up in the Central African mining towns of The Copperbelt has added a unique flavour to their already distinctive Stomp Rock & Roll style. They recently returned to the UK for the opportunity to take their music to an international audience.

The brothers have to date toured all around the UK / Europe and through to the United States. Following up a successful tour with debut album 'Blue Lips' (February 2013) the brothers got to enjoy a second American tour performing in cities such as Austin TX (SXSW Festival, 6 sold out shows), Los Angeles CA (Sold Out Viper Room Show) (Guest performance at Sunset Strip Festival), Seattle, Las Vegas NV and San Francisco to name just a few.

Back in the UK and building on touring success Bite the Buffalo played the BBC Introducing stage at Glastonbury 2013 making the most of the festival by being voted in the pick of Friday with 20 of the worlds’ leading bands and in the top three “breakthrough acts” of the entire festival.

“Bite the Buffalo were the most exciting band that we have ever had on the BBC Introducing stage” Sam Bonham BBC Introducing

Along with Glastonbury BTB were quickly booked up for a host of festivals, high profile support slots and shared the stage with, to name a few, main support for Robert Plant (handpicked by Robert Plant) at the sold out O2 Apollo in Manchester, support for The Boom Town Rats, Steve Harley, Kill it Kid, Brother and Bones, Dry the River, Fat White Family, Growlers, Stone Foxes, Family Rain, Darlia, Gabrielle Aplin, Baby Head, Eddy Spaghetti, Tall Ships, George Ezra, and a host more. The eclectic mix of artists proving Bite The Buffalo as both a high energy electric band with the ability to strip the set back and perform in intimate venues such as sold out Bush Hall London with Gabrielle Aplin.

To date Bite the Buffalo have enjoyed countless radio play worldwide including BBC Radio 1 UK (Huw Stephens), several songs featured on both American TV and ITV2/ channel 4 in the UK along with UFC and Ubisoft trailers. With steadily increasing interest growing for the band towards the end of 2014 we released a single (Polka Dots) on Never Fade Records, a label who have already enjoyed success with a UK number one platinum-selling artist.

“Bite The Buffalo, the brothers of stomp rock'n roll are bringing their fuzz riddled sounds & faces alike to the road on the dawn of their second studio album. A ferocious live show that is not to be missed... see the boys in 2015 for some beer in hand good time debauchery.”
