A local seaside amateur dramatic group are starting an evening rehearsal at their end of a pier theatre. They find themselves locked in during a storm by Harry the stand-in caretaker. When Sandra and Ginny, the stage hands, try to terrify the others by pretending there is a ghost, it goes horribly wrong when Sandra is killed falling through a trap door. With cast affairs, spurned partners, a grudge and a poisoned hip-flask it isn’t the final death of the evening.
