A chamber orchestra comprising over 60 of the most talented young players from 18 European countries, featuring soloists Sergey Schepkin (piano) and Kirill Gusarev (trumpet).
Tonight's program of Vivaldi Concerto di Parigi, Fauré Pavane, Hummel Trumpet Concerto, Mozart Piano Concerto No 23 in A and Nielsen Little Suite Op 1, showcases the talents of two remarkable young soloists.
Founded by conductor Leonid Tritus in Cologne in 2006, Kammerphilharmonie Europa engages more than 60 of the most talented young players from 18 European countries. Under concertmaster Michael Guerchovitch, they are joined tonight by the internationally acclaimed Boston-based pianist Sergey Schepkin and St Petersburg-born trumpeter Kirill Gusarev.
