Dub Me Always is pleased to present another exciting evening of film and music. First, at 6:30pm, we'll have the UK debut screening of the feature documentary, Congo Beat The Drum, taking place in Screen 5 (book tickets via the Ritzy website or box office), exploring the collaborative analogue reggae album Israeli production duo Kalbata and Mixmonster made in Jamaica with veteran stars of the foundation dancehall era, such as Jah Thomas, Mutabaruka, Little John, Echo Minott, Puddy Roots, Prince Jazzbo, Trinity and Major Mackerel.

The film s director, and co-producer of the music, Ariel 'Kalbata' Tagar, will be on hand for a live QandA Upstairs, directly after the screening; the Tel Aviv-based electronic music producer has issued material on Soul Jazz and Brownswood, has remixed for Fat Freddy’s Drop and Roll Deep, and collaborated with Warrior Queen, among many others.

Then, from 8pm-midnight, there will be sweet reggae music, original vinyl style, with regular host David Katz and Kalbata taking turns on the decks. Expect deep roots, foundation dancehall, and previously unheard exclusive material, straight from Kalbata s master tapes.

Note: Film starts 6:30pm (Screen 5 - separate tickets).
