Tropical coastal ecosystems - such as coral reefs, mangrove forests, and seagrass beds - are some of the most biodiverse in the world and are essential to economies and cultural activities. Yet, they are threatened by overexploitation and climate change.
At this free public event, Earthwatch scientists will showcase their innovative approaches to conserving tropical coastlines from the Caribbean to the Seychelles through ecological research, community engagement, local capacity development and ‘citizen science’.
Discover how these pioneering scientists are working together with local communities and marine stakeholders to counter threats, and build sustainable solutions for the long-term benefit of people and nature.
Join us for what’s sure to be a fascinating evening, and find out how you could get involved with our environmental research. There’ll be a Q&A with the scientists too, so bring your questions.
