This April, Some Voices, London’s best-loved choir, returns to a stage near you with their latest show: SWEET DREAMS. The 300-strong chorus and the Dreamweaver are inviting you in to explore the marvellous materials of the mind, taking you on a journey where the lines are blurred between dreams and reality.

In our wonderfully weird and wishful world where jars of dreams line the walls and ladders stretch up to the man in the moon, let Some Voices tell stories about dreams of love, loss and hope, and unravel dreams within dreams that reside in the deepest depths of your minds.

A showcase of songs guaranteed to make the hairs on the back of your neck stand up will be performed as your taken through the reverie the Dreamweaver creates – and all will be given the Some Voices treatment audiences have come to know and love.

Let sounds from the likes of Kate Bush to Bjork, Hozier to Blur and many more wash over you as you journey through your musical dreams. Some Voices will give you a vocal experience like no other, and leave you wondering if it all could have been real…

Following their sold out performance of Baz Luhrmann’s Romeo and Juliet last Christmas, London’s best-loved choir promises to take you on a trip that’s out of this world.

23rd and 24th April, doors open at 7pm. Performance starts at 8.30pm. Over 18s only. Cash bar on site, open until midnight. Tickets cost £15 in advance (incl. booking fee) from www.somevoices.co.uk; £20 on the door.

Further info:

Some Voices was founded in 2010 by Laura Howe who wanted to create an exciting and innovative choir that wasn’t ‘classical or religious’ but a celebration of people coming together to have a good sing song and find a bit of escape in the city.

Musically directed by Howe along with Curtis Stansfield, Some Voices was originally set up to give people in London an opportunity to sing as part of an ensemble that was neither classical nor religious.

In 2010, 6 chorus members met up to perform original arrangements of popular classics ranging from Imogen Heap and Fleet Foxes to Mumford and Sons. Five years down the line, 300 singers are now part of the exciting ensemble that performs at massive London venues like KOKO, The Southbank Centre and the Rivoli Ballroom, pulling in audiences in their thousands.

Laura Howe, Musical Director, says: “People have a voice and want the opportunity to belt out a tune they love with abandon. Some Voices is not your stereotypical choir. We invite everyone to join us and therefore don’t audition our singers.”

Laura is a vocal artist, choral director and has composed music for TV, Theatre and Live Soundscape Installation working with organisations like BBC, The Southbank Centre, The 02 and many more.

Some Voices is an amateur choir. There are four Some Voices choirs who rehearse between 7pm and 9pm on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday in venues around London. All are welcome.
