There are 8 places on the door, first come, first served. Judged by randomly selected members of the audience, the winner goes through to Hackney regional final.
This month features Mark Gwynne Jones, on tour from Derbyshire, described by The Guardian as "Inspired… one of the most accomplished performance poets in the land… drawing the audience into a world where things are not quite what they seem." And OneNess Sankara, who was judged as Best Female Poet 2014/15 by Black Women in the Arts.
