Charity Guitar Recital by Jad Azkoul

A tribute to Abel Carlevaro and the guitar in Uruguay

by his former student, teaching assistant and friend, Jad Azkoul.

Jad will perform compositions by Abel Carlevaro as well as by composers that the Maestro loved to play and teach. These will include selections from Albéniz, Villa-Lobos, Castelnuovo Tedesco and de Falla.

In this informal and informative concert Jad will talk about what was special about the new school of guitar playing that Carlevaro created and the revolutionary guitar he invented.
