Working in partnership with Dishoom, Asia House is bringing the building alive to the sound of … The Ramayana. We will celebrate Asia’s most interesting and famous stories and show how they are just as entertaining and relevant today as they were when they were first written centuries ago. The ground floor of Asia House will be turned into a magical realm, with roaming Aladdin and Princess Jasmine and other characters from Asian literature brought to life.

The day begins with face painting, beloved Indian soft drinks Thums Up and Limca, mithai (Indian sweets) and entertainment. It is then followed by two workshops, both run by the creative team at Storystock. Creative writing will allow 7-11 year olds to dream up mythical stories based on their favourite Eastern fairy tales. 4-7 year olds will enjoy a session of creating masks of mythical characters and animals. The event will wrap up with a reading from award-winning children’s writer Jamila Gavin.

A fun and original day for all the family.
