Jingo 'A.D.D.' Single Launch & Hannah Schneider at The St. Pancras Old Church

Head down to the infamous St Pancras Old Church on 11th June to celebrate the launch of our new single “A.D.D.” taken from the upcoming EP. Johnny Kidd promotions will be hosting the evening and Hannah Schneider will be joining the band to give London a taste of her current album “Red Lines”. Recorded at the renowned Soup Studios (Daughter, Johnny Flynn, The Kills, The Maccabees, Roots Manuva) and mastered by Kevin Blackler (Johnny Cash, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, The Strokes, The Raconteurs, Prodigy), Jingo’s latest release delivers lust, passion and unbridled enthusiasm. Already having garnered support from the likes of Amazing Radio and BBC London introducing and having once owned successful London DIY open mic night “Cable Street Electric”, Jingo are anything but short of valuable influence and the evidence speaks for itself. Jingo’s first live show saw them supporting Blur’s Graham Coxon: an early yet fitting achievement for a band with success set firmly in its sights.

Jack Buckett and Joe Reeves met Katie (now) Buckett in Brooklyn, New York, before luring her back to the bright lights of East London. On returning to the big smoke, guitars in hand; Jingo, along with the new addition to the rhythm section, Chris Smith, have found themselves drawing influence from BRNS, Not Blood Paint, Interpol, Wolf Alice, Jeff Buckley, Prince and Lana Del Rey to create their vivacious, driving sounds. In 2013 the band won the “Made in Shoreditch” competition that entitled them to two days recording time at the infamous Strongroom Studios (Arctic Monkeys, Depeche Mode, Radiohead, British Sea Power, Primal Scream) – the end result of which was “When You Want Me”: a single doused in originality that begs to be heard.

With their debut album “The Art of Loving” receiving recognition from acclaimed UK tastemakers, Jingo are more than ready to raise the bar in 2015. Last years album release coincided with a US tour alongside friends Not Blood Paint and the next few months will see them back on the road; this time covering Germany and Western Europe. Jingo’s next show overseas (Rouen, France) will see them supporting Ken Stringfellow (R.E.M and the Posies) and Troy Von Balthazar (American 90s cult group Chokebore)

A.D.D. is the latest product of the bands endeavors. The track, which is taken from their EP to be released later in the year, showcases their penchant for dynamic chord progression and intoxicating vocals that parachute in and immediately demand attention.

Jingo are taking major musical leaps. Streamlined songwriting, amplified rawness, artfully implemented melodies deservedly draw attention to the kind of band they have become: serious musicians brimming with promise. Egoless instrumentals and cascading percussion together with Katie’s distinctive and devoted vocals scream Warpaint with a Portishead shade.
