Celebrate VE Day at Borough Market

Borough Market is stepping back into the 1940's and celebrating Victory in Europe Day with a whole host of activities.

Chef, Lesley Holdship will be in the demonstration kitchen on the 7th May, replicating dishes for a retro street party from the post war austerity period and creating a number of ‘make do’ recipes.

From 12pm onwards, members of the London Swing Dance Society will be getting the party started with a jazzy, energetic routine to capture the free-spirited mood of the age.

The Borough Belles Women's Institute will be next door in the Pod giving out information and joining in the party, plus Borough Market's limited edition poppy prints by illustrator James Oses will be available to buy (all proceeds go to The Royal British Legion).
