The Dreamers tells the true and moving story of WWI hero Captain David 'Reggie' Salomons, and looks at the Great War through the eyes of the soldiers and the families they left behind.

As Captain Salomons prepares his men for battle, one soldier grows jealous of his popularity and position, and tries to stir trouble amongst the men. A 12-year-old boy is desperate to join the army. He lies about his age, not wanting to be left out of the 'great adventure'. Everyday women become nurses and factory-workers. The War Cabinet is forced to make impossible decisions.

This unique piece of theatre is performed by six-piece band 'Virgin Soldiers' and a cast of 21 young men and women, with on-screen narration from Amanda Redman, Christopher Beeny, Tim Rice, and others.

With heart-rending music and lyrics, this emotional tale of courage and heroism moved many to tears and brought audiences of all ages to their feet when it premiered last October.

At a time when people all over the world are commemorating the events of 100 years ago, the overall message of this thought-provoking production is one of remembrance.
