American playwriting Stephen Adly Guirgis is known for his depiction of the down and outs in society and the seedy side of New York life through is plays such as Jesus Hopped the 'A' Train, Den of Thieves and The Last Days of Judas Iscariot.

Join directors Indhu Rubasingham (Tricycle Theatre) and Esther Baker (Synergy Theatre Project) to explore Guirgis' playwriting, recurring themes in his plays and the staging of his work in the UK including the NT production of Motherf**ker with the Hat and Baker's production of Den of Thieves by prisoners at HMP Brixton.
